Port Power will attract more supporters to their home games and for Port sake...will attract new members?

! caller on talk back radio...blamed the guernsey for Port power failing to have decent numbers at home games. He blames the jumper for not having 30,000+ supporters at every home game.

Do you agree with him? if so...why?

IMO....this is a load of hogwash (b*llsh!t).....Port were always going to struggle to pull crowds, but that's another story.

Im not the biggest footy fan BigKev but doesn't Port Adelaide still play in the local SA comp, so how can there really be 2 Port Adelaide clubs, i don't think the jumper would stop people supporting a club

I Think Port Power should have just joined the AFL with the Port Adelaide jumper and just have 1 club

My Uncle told me that they're not Port Adelaide and they never will be! What he means by that is, the feared and hated Port Adelaide in the SANFL no longer exists. The team in teal are just a bunch of imposters.

Collingwood would never allow us to wear our traditional black and white prison bar guernsey, which is unfourtnate because they are PORT ADELAIDE colors. But maybe you're right, maybe some Port supporters of the SANFL days refuse to support this team in teal??? Would we get more supporters if we still had our black and white guernsey? Probably not since we're playing poorly and the club is struggling. The supporters come back when we start winning games. This year when we won 3 games in a row, the Hawthorn game after that winning streak had a crowd of 26, 000, which is decent. The crowds go up when we win games. Maybe a lot of our supporter base is band-wahon?, which is a shame.

Despite all this speculation about the Power and the Port Magpies being two different clubs, the colors etc...We Are Port Adelaide!

ONE CLUB

ONE HISTORY

ONE FUTURE

WE ARE PORT ADELAIDE!

Times are tough right now, but every club as their fair share of troubles. The club's just got to dig deep and earn the light at the end of the dark tunnel.

I noticed an idea on Bigfooty for a new Port jumper which would really bring out the Magpie, plus a proposal that Port ditch the Americanized (see what I did there) Power tag and rename themself to Port Adelaide FC (official nickname being simply Port). I thought it wasn't a bad idea ... I'll try to dig it up.

But blaming the jumper! What nonsense, lol, that's a ridiculous notion to be honest, a ladder-leading Pies outfit could be pink with purple polka dots and still get crowds 3-4 times that of Port.

here's the new idea

How is Port using the history in the SANFL any different than say brisbane using fitzroy's. given the origins of port don't matter why should the bribane lions.

The troubles with Port are the players don't play for the club, until they have passion in their club they will not draw crowds, noone will want to see a club in the drain. still in their little time they have spent in the AFL they still have more history than the dockers (if you can take a shot at the cross town rival so can i lol)

Jumper? Hmmmm - the jumper being the reason I didn't turn up at a game ...hmmm... can't picture it. Hmmm - nope I reckon if my team was playing like crap week in and week out and the coaches box had a revolving door and the environment at the ground was always bitter and nasty ... THEN I wouldn't turn up. But maybe that's just me

The jumper is irrelevant. Their current culture is abysmal, players just don't seem to care. Need to start turning it around in that regard.
